Summary
This study tested whether levetiracetam works better and safer than standard drugs (phenobarbitone) for stopping seizures in newborns. 260 babies aged 0-28 days with seizures were randomly assigned to receive either levetiracetam or standard treatment. The goal was to see how quickly seizures stopped and if side effects were fewer.
