Summary

This study tested the safety and correct dose of levetiracetam, a seizure medicine, in 18 full-term newborns who had seizures due to a lack of oxygen around birth. The goal was to see if it could reduce seizure activity on brain monitoring without causing serious side effects. The results help guide how to use this drug as a first treatment for these fragile babies.
