New surgery aims to slash pain after hemorrhoid removal

NCT ID NCT06764849

Summary

This trial aimed to test if a new, minimally invasive surgery for hemorrhoids causes less pain after the operation compared to the standard method. It planned to randomly assign adult patients with severe hemorrhoids to one of the two surgical groups. The main goal was to measure pain levels 10 days after surgery, with a follow-up a year later to check long-term results.
