Tiny tubes for tiny patients: could less blood mean healthier preemies?
NCT ID NCT04239690
Summary
This study tested if using very small blood samples for medical tests could help extremely premature babies. Doctors wanted to see if losing less of the baby's own blood in the first two weeks of life would reduce serious lung problems. Half the babies had tests done with these tiny-sample methods, while the other half had tests done the standard way.
