First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether taking a small fluid sample from near the ulnar nerve (guided by ultrasound) and testing it for leprosy bacteria DNA can diagnose the disease more accurately than current methods. About 108 people with suspected leprosy will be followed for one year. The goal is to catch nerve involvement early and better monitor if treatment has cured the infection.
