NCT ID NCT07195240
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether taking lemongrass extract daily for 6 weeks, alongside high-intensity interval training, improves aerobic fitness and sexual wellbeing in men aged 40-60. Forty participants will be randomly assigned to receive either lemongrass or a placebo. Researchers will measure changes in oxygen use, blood lactate, heart rate, and sexual function through questionnaires.

- lemongrass extract
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could point toward a natural supplement to enhance exercise benefits and sexual wellbeing in middle-aged men.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial with only 40 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The supplement may show no benefit over placebo.
