Personalized training may give young rowers an edge
NCT ID NCT07602244
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a rowing program tailored to each athlete's breathing patterns can improve fitness and 2,000-meter race times better than standard training. About 44 youth rowers aged 14-18 from Valdivia, Chile, will be randomly assigned to either personalized or usual training for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in oxygen use and rowing speed to see which approach works best.
