Summary

This study tested whether midwifery students who practice episiotomy repair in pairs learn better than those who practice alone. 92 students were split into two groups. The paired group worked together on calf tongues, while the control group practiced individually. Researchers measured knowledge, self-confidence, and anxiety before and after training.

Active substance
Learning in Pairs (LiP) educational model
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that paired learning helps midwifery students learn episiotomy skills more effectively and with less anxiety.
What could go wrong
This is a small, single-center educational study with 92 students. Results may not apply to other settings or skills, and the study measures short-term outcomes only.
