Lifestyle lessons before pregnancy may cut risks for mom and baby

NCT ID NCT06879054

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether teaching women about healthy eating, activity, and other lifestyle habits before or during early pregnancy can improve their heart health and lower the chance of problems like gestational diabetes and preeclampsia. About 200 women at risk for these complications will either get the lifestyle education plus usual care or usual care alone. Researchers will track how well the program works and whether it leads to healthier pregnancies.
