Glue embolization may cut recurrence of brain bleeding in older adults

Summary
This study tests whether a minimally invasive procedure using a medical glue (cyanoacrylate) can prevent chronic subdural hematoma—a collection of blood on the brain—from returning after standard care. About 550 adults with a hematoma larger than 10 mm will be randomly assigned to receive the glue embolization or standard treatment alone. The goal is to see if the glue reduces the need for repeat surgery or further hospital visits over 6 months.
