What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
LDART (Let's Do Addiction Recovery Together!) - a web-based intervention with goal setting, motivational messages, and recovery group info
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a low-cost, accessible digital tool to help people with alcohol use disorder cut down or quit drinking.
What could go wrong
This is a small pilot study with only 80 participants, focused on feasibility rather than proof of effectiveness. The results may not apply to everyone, and the intervention relies on daily engagement which may be hard to maintain.
