Daily probiotic pill tested to fight off colds and flu

NCT ID NCT06837961

Summary

This study tested whether a daily tablet containing a specific type of 'good' bacteria, called LC-Plasma, could help the body's immune system fight off viruses and reduce symptoms of common illnesses like colds and flu. Over 240 healthy adults in Australia took either the LC-Plasma tablet or a placebo (a dummy pill) every day for four weeks. Researchers measured immune cell activity and tracked participants' symptoms to see if the probiotic made a difference.
