Summary

This study tested whether a daily oral medication called LB54640 could help manage weight in people with hypothalamic obesity, a condition where brain injury causes severe weight gain. 28 participants aged 12+ took either the medication or a placebo for 14 weeks, with the option to continue on the medication for up to 56 weeks. Researchers measured changes in weight, hunger levels, and safety to see if the drug could help control this difficult condition.
