Laughter yoga boosts resilience in moms of critically ill children, study finds
NCT ID NCT07340229
First seen Jan 14, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether laughter yoga could help mothers of children in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) feel more resilient and cope better. Forty mothers whose children had been in the PICU for at least a week were split into two groups: one did short laughter yoga sessions over 3-4 days, and the other received standard care. The results suggest that this simple, fun activity may improve psychological well-being in a very stressful situation.
