Shooting pain? study pits laser beam against sound waves for jaw relief
NCT ID NCT07378462
Summary
This study compared two non-drug treatments for jaw pain and limited mouth opening caused by temporomandibular disorders (TMD). Forty-six patients received either low-level laser therapy or ultrasound therapy over five sessions. Researchers measured changes in pain levels and how wide patients could open their mouths to see which treatment worked better.
