Laser therapy challenges standard steroid treatment for chronic skin condition

Summary
This study is testing whether laser therapy works as well as steroid cream for long-term management of vulvar lichen sclerosus, a chronic skin condition that causes scarring and discomfort. Researchers will compare the two treatments in 120 women who have already completed initial steroid treatment. The goal is to see if laser therapy can provide similar symptom relief and potentially longer-lasting effects than the standard maintenance cream.
