Laser therapy challenges standard steroid treatment for chronic skin condition
NCT ID NCT06135402
Summary
This study is testing whether laser therapy works as well as standard steroid cream for the long-term management of vulvar lichen sclerosus, a chronic inflammatory skin condition. Researchers will compare the two treatments in 120 women who have already completed initial steroid treatment. The goal is to see if laser therapy can provide similar symptom relief and determine how long its effects last compared to ongoing steroid use.
