Laser zaps away urinary blockage better than Old-School knife?

NCT ID NCT07505316

First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study compared two ways to treat a narrow urethra (the tube that carries urine out of the body) in 60 men aged 18 to 70. One method uses a laser, the other a cold knife. The goal was to see which works better at improving urine flow 30 days after the procedure. The findings could help standardize care and make laser treatment more available in public hospitals.
