New laser technique aims to stop varicose veins from coming back

NCT ID NCT07449728

Summary

This study is testing two different types of laser light (1470 nm and 1940 nm) during a common varicose vein surgery. The goal is to see which laser is better at sealing the problem vein at its source to prevent it from reopening later. Researchers will also check which method causes less pain and lowers the risk of blood clots after surgery.
