First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested a non-surgical laser treatment for peri-implantitis, a gum infection around dental implants. Forty adults with the condition received either standard cleaning or a combination of two lasers. Researchers measured pocket depth, bleeding, and bacteria levels before and three months after treatment to see if the laser approach worked better.
