Laser showdown: can a stronger beam beat jaw pain?

NCT ID NCT07531654

First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether a stronger laser (high-intensity) works better than a standard low-level laser for treating chronic jaw muscle pain. Forty adults with myofascial pain will receive 12 laser sessions over one month, and their pain and jaw movement will be tracked for six months. The goal is to find a more effective way to ease pain and improve mouth opening without drugs or surgery.
