Laser showdown: which prostate surgery works best?

NCT ID NCT06565741

First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study compares two laser techniques—Moses 2.0 and Thulium Fiber—for removing prostate tissue in men with medium to large prostates (over 80cc). About 120 men aged 40-90 who need surgery for urinary symptoms will be randomly assigned to one method. The goal is to see which laser is faster and causes less bleeding, with a focus on improving urinary flow and reducing hospital stay.
