Dental laser tested to fix failed root canals
NCT ID NCT07194837
Summary
This study is testing if adding a special 810nm diode laser during a second root canal treatment (a 're-treatment') helps the bone around the tooth heal better. Researchers will compare the laser-assisted procedure to the standard re-treatment method in 40 patients with a previously failed root canal. They will use advanced 3D X-ray scans to measure healing around the tooth root after one year.
