Laser light zaps root canal bugs for better healing
NCT ID NCT07194837
Summary
This study is testing if using a special dental laser during a repeat root canal procedure helps the bone around the tooth heal better. It will compare the laser treatment to standard care in 40 patients who need a second root canal because the first one failed. The main goal is to see if the laser, which aims to kill bacteria deep in the tooth, leads to better healing after one year, as measured by a detailed 3D scan.
