Botox boosts laser scar treatment in new study

NCT ID NCT07360483

First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at 48 people with raised burn scars to see if adding botulinum toxin (Botox) to fractional CO2 laser treatment works better than laser alone. The Botox was given either as an injection or applied on the skin with a special laser technique. The goal was to improve scar appearance and texture. Results were measured using standard scar scales and 3D imaging.
