Laser light therapy aims to ease harsh chemo side effects
NCT ID NCT07075809
Summary
This study tested whether laser acupuncture could help head and neck cancer patients cope with chemotherapy. Researchers wanted to see if this non-invasive light therapy could reduce a dangerous drop in white blood cells and improve patients' quality of life. They compared 30 patients receiving real laser treatment to a group receiving a fake (sham) treatment during their first chemotherapy cycle.
