Laser light therapy tested to fight Chemo's toll

NCT ID NCT07075809

Summary

This study tested whether a gentle, needle-free laser therapy (laser acupuncture) could help head and neck cancer patients during chemotherapy. It aimed to see if the therapy could reduce a dangerous drop in infection-fighting white blood cells and improve patients' daily quality of life. Researchers compared 30 patients who received real laser treatments to a group that received a fake, placebo version during their chemo cycles.
