First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at how laparoscopic (keyhole) abdominal surgery might affect the brain. Researchers measured eye nerve thickness and brain oxygen levels in 50 adults during surgery, and tested their thinking skills before and after. The goal was to see if these simple checks could predict short-term memory or concentration problems after the operation.
