First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked at how laparoscopic abdominal surgery might affect the brain. Researchers measured eye nerve thickness and brain oxygen levels in 50 adults before and after surgery, and tested their thinking skills. The goal was to see if these measurements could help detect early mental changes after surgery, but no treatment was given.
