Scientists search for clues to devastating Women's lung disease
NCT ID NCT00001465
Summary
This study aims to understand what causes Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), a rare and serious lung disease that mostly affects women of childbearing age. Researchers will study up to 2,000 participants, including people with LAM and healthy volunteers, to learn how the disease develops at the cellular and genetic level. The goal is to gather knowledge that could lead to better future treatments, but this study does not test any new therapies itself.
