NCT ID NCT07060222

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study compares two oral bowel-cleansing agents—lactulose and sodium phosphate—to see which one provides a better colonoscopy experience. About 300 adults scheduled for a colonoscopy will be randomly assigned to one of the two preparations. Researchers will measure how clean the bowel gets, how well patients tolerate the drink, and any side effects or changes in blood chemistry.
