First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether lactoferrin, a protein found in milk with anti-inflammatory properties, can improve pain control after a planned cesarean section. Ninety women will receive either lactoferrin or a placebo before and after surgery, alongside standard pain medication. The goal is to see if it lowers pain levels and the need for stronger painkillers, helping new mothers recover more comfortably.
