First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking a daily lactobacillus (a type of probiotic) supplement can reduce symptoms of overactive bladder in women. Overactive bladder causes sudden, frequent urges to urinate and affects many older women. The trial will compare the supplement to a placebo over 6 months, tracking symptom changes and the bacteria in the urinary tract.
