Summary
This study looked at whether taking a probiotic called Lactobacillus acidophilus could help postmenopausal women maintain bone strength and calcium levels. 90 women took either the probiotic or a placebo for a period of time. The goal was to see if this simple supplement could reduce the risk of bone loss and osteoporosis after menopause.
