New study tests a better way to measure mobility in seniors

NCT ID NCT07277751

First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether the L Test, a walking test that involves turning and walking a longer distance, is a reliable and valid way to measure mobility in healthy adults aged 65 and older. Researchers will compare the L Test to two standard tests (Timed Up and Go and 10-Meter Walk Test) by testing 70 participants twice, one week apart. The goal is to provide better tools for assessing fall risk and mobility in older adults.
