Blood-Derived graft shows promise for stronger jawbone before implants
NCT ID NCT03495700
First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether a special blood-clot block (L-PRF) mixed with bone substitute helps grow new jawbone better than the standard bone graft alone for people needing dental implants. Twenty-three adults with thin jawbone received a sinus lift procedure, and the amount of bone formed was measured after 6 months. The goal was to see if the L-PRF block speeds up bone healing and improves implant success.
