Glue vs. Glue-and-Mesh: which makes a better scar after knee surgery?

NCT ID NCT06232018

Summary

This study compared two types of skin glue used to close the surgical wound after a total knee replacement. Researchers wanted to see if using a special glue with a polyester mesh led to better patient satisfaction and fewer wound problems than using the glue alone. They enrolled 80 people with knee osteoarthritis to test which method patients preferred and which resulted in better-looking scars.
