Glue vs. Glue-and-Mesh: which makes a better knee surgery scar?

NCT ID NCT06232018

Summary

This study compared two methods for closing the wound after knee replacement surgery: a standard skin glue versus the same glue with a reinforcing polyester mesh. Researchers wanted to see if one method led to better-looking scars, higher patient satisfaction, or fewer wound problems like leakage. They studied 80 patients with knee osteoarthritis to find out.
