NCT ID NCT06232018
First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at 80 people with knee arthritis who had total knee replacement. It compared two ways to close the surgical wound: a skin adhesive (Dermabond) alone versus the same adhesive with a polyester mesh (Dermabond Prineo). The main goal was to see which method gave better scar appearance and patient satisfaction, measured by a standard scar assessment score.
