Knee replacement showdown: preserving ACL may boost patient satisfaction

NCT ID NCT04855864

First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at three types of total knee replacements in 75 people with severe knee arthritis. The goal is to see if a design that keeps the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) helps patients move more naturally and feel better than designs that remove or replace it. Participants will be followed with surveys, motion analysis, and X-rays to compare pain, function, and how natural the knee feels.
