Which nerve block gets you back on your feet faster after knee surgery?

NCT ID NCT07524387

First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study compares two types of nerve blocks (femoral triangle block vs. adductor canal block) to see which one helps people regain leg strength sooner after total knee replacement. About 136 adults having knee surgery will be randomly assigned to receive one of the blocks, plus standard pain management. The main goal is to measure leg function 6 hours after surgery, specifically the ability to lift the leg straight and muscle strength.
