New patch could slash opioid use after knee surgery

NCT ID NCT06460350

Summary

This study tested a special patch called NEUROCUPLE™ designed to help manage pain after knee replacement surgery. Researchers wanted to see if wearing the patch for 30 days could reduce patients' pain and their need for strong opioid painkillers. They compared the active patch against a placebo (inactive) patch that looked identical in 156 adults who had the surgery.
