New study tests two ways to fix damaged knees
NCT ID NCT07204587
Summary
This study compares two surgical approaches to repair knee damage in young adults who continue to have pain and problems after previous meniscus removal surgery. Researchers will test whether using the patient's own hamstring tendon works as well as using donated meniscus tissue from another person. The study will follow 40 participants for two years to see which approach provides better pain relief, knee function, and return to sports.
