First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested whether injecting hyaluronic acid (a natural joint lubricant) into the knee after surgery helps people recover faster. 290 adults with a torn meniscus were split into three groups: standard rehab, rehab plus oral supplements, or rehab plus two gel injections. The goal was to see if the injections improved knee function and reduced pain within 12 weeks.
