First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested whether injecting hyaluronic acid (a natural joint lubricant) into the knee after arthroscopy helps people recover faster. 290 adults with a torn meniscus were split into three groups: standard rehab, rehab plus oral supplements, or rehab plus two hyaluronic acid injections. The goal was to see which approach improved knee function and reduced pain the most at 12 weeks after surgery.
