NCT ID NCT06971601
First seen Feb 24, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a set of simple physical tests can accurately diagnose infrapatellar fat pad impingement, a common cause of front knee pain, compared to the current gold standard of MRI. Researchers will study 50 adults aged 18-70 with persistent front knee pain. Participants will complete questionnaires, undergo a standardized physical exam, and have an MRI within two weeks. The goal is to see if these clinical tests can reliably identify the condition, potentially making diagnosis faster and more accessible.
