First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study compares two minimally invasive procedures for treating long-term knee pain caused by osteoarthritis. Fifty adults aged 45 to 85 with severe knee pain will be randomly assigned to receive either radiofrequency ablation (using heat) or a neurolytic alcohol injection to block pain signals. Researchers will measure pain, function, and quality of life over six months to see which method provides better and longer-lasting relief.
