First seen Apr 13, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a gentle electrical current (interferential current) to a standard exercise program can reduce pain and improve daily function in people with knee osteoarthritis. About 138 adults aged 40 to 75 with knee pain for over 3 months will be randomly assigned to exercise alone, exercise plus real electrical current, or exercise plus a placebo current. The goal is to see if the combination offers extra benefits for pain and mobility.
