First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looked at 45 women aged 20-40 with patellofemoral pain syndrome (front knee pain). They did 8 weeks of supervised knee strengthening exercises, either combined with hip or ankle exercises. Both groups had less pain and better movement during activities like jumping. The results show that adding hip or ankle exercises to knee strengthening can help ease symptoms.
