NCT ID NCT05805774

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at two ways to treat a broken thigh bone near a knee replacement in people 65 and older. One method uses plates and screws to fix the bone, while the other replaces the knee joint with an artificial one. The goal is to see which surgery leads to less pain and better knee function. About 148 participants will be followed to compare outcomes like recovery, complications, and quality of life.
